Heliobiology and Sunlight
Solar cycles may affect human behavior in much the same way that seasons may, as increased sunlight during sunspot maxima leads to increased energy levels by increasing serotonin (By Harvey McConnell: Brain Serotonin Production Directly Related To Degree Of Sunlight). This is what may be responsible for the so-called “11 year itch”, as solar cycles take 11 years on average. In this cycle, the 3 years during which the sun goes from minimum to maximum would be the time of greatest change in our lives.
